of course my friend :)

Lovely. Fantastic palate. Fantastic atmosphere. Iconic image. Is this pastel or a digitally rendered pastels? Love how this looks so completely wrought and finished.
:iconpoetatriste:
it's actually all acrylic

it's a lot of "dry brush" which is something i've been working on and gives it a more drawing like look.... ruins the brushes though ;)

thank you so very much :) I'm glad you like it!

Wonderful. The scene and colours are gorgeous, and the strokes are nice and energetic.

Thank you so much! I'm pretty exhausted when I finish one of these so it is a greatly appreciated compliment/comment that the energy is being preceived.

:)

I really admire people who put so much life into their works. I have a hard time getting into it and letting go of my doubts. My goal is to someday be able to paint like that.

:faint: what a wonderful thing to say! I am humbled and so appreciative- truly. I can only hope that my work is received well- and to receive feedback like this, and to think it "inspires" in the way you've described is just..... :faint:! :D

my only suggestion to you would be to just go for it. we are all our worst critics.
But you do it, no matter how it comes out, because simply.... you have to.
I think we are all too concerned with the technicalities of how things "should turn out" or should be defined as, instead of throwing ourselves head first into the process.

I guess, most things born truly, and passionately from the heart, don't really follow- or care much for- the "rules."

Your heart on canvas might look nothing like my heart on canvas- doesn't mean it's not just as beautiful.

(sorry, i get "long winded" when I'm happy :) )
