On a day that the rest of the world was glued to their TVs watching the Chilean miners rescue, I was talking to doctors, trying to get some information about your condition.
When I finally got a hold of your attending nurse, Eric, he said you were awake and were watching the news...
"Hi Hunny."
Your strong voice broke, "What a story of triumph and hope..."
And under those words, I knew you were wishing for your own miracle.
I got to Milwaukee as quickly as I could. As I entered the room, the oncologist was giving you your test results. He

We watch slow moving pictures

Two old shoes flaking mud on the kitchen floor.
